Discovered by M. Peoples while scanning images taken by Tim Puckett and by the software at LOTOSS from images taken with Mike Schwartz's Tenagra III telescope. This one is an over luminus type Ia-pec, Similar to 1991T. We have a DSS Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal. Icon created from Tim Puckett's image.

Light curves and Spectra:
• CfA spectrum Taken March 28, 2001 shows this peculiar Type Ia supernova before maximum. The presence of Fe III 4300 and 5000 A lines and the lack of the Si II 6355 A feature show that this SN is similar to SN 1991T. There is, however, Ca II H and K absorption that was not seen in SN 1991T. This object is more like SN 1998ab, SN 1998es, and SN 1999aa.
